Job summary/Role description

The Project relates to the implementation of a new Urea and UAN (Urea Ammonium Nitrate solution) plant in Gemlik, 125 km south of Istanbul, Turkey.

 

 

The plant will have the capacity of 1,640 MTPD of Granular Urea and 500 MTPD of UAN and will run on the market leading urea technology of Stamicarbon, a fully owned subsidiary of the Maire Tecnimont Group. The Scope of Work concerns the execution of engineering, supply of all equipment and materials and construction and erection works.

 

Automation Instrumentation Assistant (ISA) the first interface between the Subcontractor and the Site Organization with regard to Project standards and specifications and the first controller of the Subcontractor’s activities and of the Quality of the latter’s works.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Within their own area, their main responsibilities are:

  • To co-ordinate any subcontractor activities falling within his own area, including both intermediate and final inspections and tests;

  • To valuate test results, the validity of certificates and related reports, informing the Supervisor of any defect;

  • To check that Construction works are in accordance with Project specifications and related standards, and comply to the Quality Control Plan for his own area;

  • To note the work quantities performed by subcontractors and on this basis prepare the construction monthly progress report for his own area;

  • To check the detailed activity plan for his own area and compare it with work progress.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Commissioning/Troubleshooting of Controls system as DCS, ESD, F&G, PLCs, online/inline/remote Instrument Calibration, Control valves, Gas Chromatograph, Analyzers, Boiler BMS, Complex loop check, Interlock Checks.

  • Awareness of IEC standards related to instrumentation and Turkish local regulation.

  • Degree in Instrumentation/Automation is preferable

  • Experience working on Contractor side

Skills and Abilities

  • Native Turkish speaker;

  • Fluent English;

  • Excellent IT and analytical skills;

  • Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;

  • Attention to details;

  • Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
