Job summary/Role
description
|
|
The Project relates to the implementation of a
new Urea and UAN (Urea Ammonium Nitrate solution) plant in Gemlik, 125 km
south of Istanbul, Turkey.
The plant will have the capacity of 1,640 MTPD of
Granular Urea and 500 MTPD of UAN and will run on the market leading urea
technology of Stamicarbon, a fully owned subsidiary of the Maire Tecnimont
Group. The Scope of Work concerns the execution of engineering, supply of all
equipment and materials and construction and erection works.
The Insulation and Painting Supervisor (IPS)
directs Subcontractor activities for Insulation and Painting activities,
ensuring that Plant Construction works are performed according to the
erection schedules and Project documents, within the assigned cost budget,
and according to Quality & Safety procedures, as well as according to the
terms and conditions of the subcontract.

Duties and responsibilities
|
- Prior to the
start of works, to check the Supplier’s material and technical documentation
delivery schedule and check that the same is in line with Construction
schedules and contractual commitments;
- Check that
the said schedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover any delay;
- Supervise
insulation of storage tank, equipment and pressure vessel;
- Check that
the equipment and manpower employed by the Subcontractor are adequate and
that the works performed by the Subcontractor conform to design documents,
Safety regulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same;
- Prepare the
non-conformity register for each Subcontractor and co-ordinate non-conformity
resolution;
- Detect any
design errors, and where possible rectify the same or request the Site
Engineer to make the necessary changes;
- Prepare or review for comments of paint
procedure/MOS/ITP;
- Check
Subcontractors’ work progress status sheets and sign the same for approval;
- Manage
vendor specialists.

Person
Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
|
- University
Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent;
- Valid certificates,
like NACE Level 2, SSPC Level2, FROSSIO Level2, ICOR;
- Good
knowledge of underground piping coating ( 3LPE, Polyurethan, PVC Wrapping);
- Knowledge of
RFI, ITP, Procedure process.

Experience
|
- Relevant
experience in construction/modernisation of industrial sector/ EPC projects
large Fertilizer plants;
- At least 5
years of experience in painting/insulation, quality control discipline;
- FROSIO level
2 or equivalent NACE level 2 certificate is mandatory;
- Well-familiar
with NACE, SSPC and ISO standards;
- Experience
with destructive and non-destructive test equipment;
- Good
experience of thermal and cold insulation;
- Experience
working on Contractor side;
- Similar role
covered in last three projects of comparable size.
