Job summary/Role description

The Project relates to execution of engineering, procurement of all equipment and materials, construction, and erection work for a new Delayed Coking Unit with coke handling and ship loading, Sour Water Stripper, Amine Recovery units and the revamping of Hydrocracker, Sulphur Recovery, and Utilities & Offsites units.

The Handover Engineer is responsible for data input on the MCDB (Mechanical Completion Database) and coordinates the Handover.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Compile handover dossiers in formats agreed with the client. Follow up on scheduled walk downs at the RFC, RFSU, and RFU for all disciplines;

  •  Use P&ID's plot layouts and other drawings and documents to define the construction and commissioning deliverables in the form of systems, areas, buildings, and modules;

  • Responsible for preparing project final/as-built documentation and electronic documentation with SAP-DMS; creating documentation structure based on area/construction unit;

  • Classify and arrange project documents in the proper location; scan and store documents in the DMS system;

  • Update of Sub-system/System Completion as per defined criteria for static, dynamic, and process requirements;

  • Follow up with Construction and Commissioning on the client's prioritized subsystem to ensure timely handover;

  • Develop detailed turnover schedules for systems and sub-systems in accordance with the approved commissioning sequence;

  • Manage, complete, and compile the required Quality Verifying Documents for submission in the Turnover Dossiers;

  • Provide sub-system and system status of remaining construction, commissioning work, outstanding documentation, statistics, and action items;

  • Ensure all quality control records for the work are progressively accumulated, indexed & available to support a phased systematic acceptance & handover of the plant to the client in accordance with the project acceptance of the work plan;

  • Establishment of well-organized filing systems for Project Documents.


Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.


Experience

  • Relevant experience in construction/modernisation of large Petrochemical plants/ EPC projects;

  • Strong subcontractors and construction/commissioning management experience in EPC project, Large/XL plants;

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the specific discipline;

  • Similar role covered in last three projects of comparable size;

  • Milemate, EasyPlant, or other similar systems that are used by EPC companies;

  • Experience working on Contractor side.

  • Attention to details;

  • Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
