Job summary/Role description
|
The Commissioning Mechanical Supervisor (CMS) manages commissioning
activities ensuring compliance with quality requirements, health,
environmental, and safety regulations, and adherence to established
procedures.
|

|
Duties and responsibilities
|
Develop detailed pre-commissioning
procedures for Machinery & Packages, and create procedures for functional
tests of machinery following the instructions of the Commissioning Machinery
Superintendent. Conduct field checks of the DAC and prepare
relevant commissioning punch lists as per CME instructions. Expedite the
closure of pending punch list items in accordance with Commissioning
Superintendent (COT) priorities. Monitor and ensure activities are carried
out according to procedures and requirements. Ensure all safety rules are enforced and
followed in the field. Supervise the works of vendor specialists, ensuring
their efficient utilization. Organize and manage the field operations of
the assigned team from the Sub Contractor, ensuring adherence to Plant Safety
procedures in case of emergency. Support vendor specialists in job execution
and coordinate their actions with commissioning supervisors. Keep detailed records of all activities
performed in the logbook. Produce certificates, duly signed by the
involved parties, and hand them over to the certification engineer (QA/QC). Responsible for ongoing maintenance
(planned and corrective) on Plant Units already in operation, according to
Commissioning Superintendent (COT) and Commissioning Machinery Superintendent
(CMT) priorities. May act as the authorized person designated
by the site manager to receive or issue a Permit to Work according to the
project Permit to Work Procedure.

Knowledge & Qualifications
|

Experience
|
Relevant experience in
construction/modernization of Industrial sector/ EPC projects large
petrochemical plants; At least 5 years of experience in the
specific discipline; Similar role covered at least in last three
projects of comparable size; Experience working on the Contractor side.

Skills and Abilities
|
Fluent English; Excellent IT and analytical skills; Excellent communications, team-oriented and
interpersonal skills; Attention to details; Self-motivation and direction, with a
strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
