Job summary/Role description

The Commissioning Electrical Loto Assistant executes the activities pertaining to his discipline in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.

 

He reports to Commissioning Electrical Supervisor

He is assigned to the Project by Commissioning Head of Department.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

His main responsibilities are:

-To implement the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for electrical

equipment.

· Execute with the assigned crew from the Sub Contractor all the activities pertaining to the

discipline.

· Ensure effective utilization of commissioning manpower and consumables

· Ensure the execution of Vendor’s specialists field activities with the assigned resources

from the Sub Contractor as per Vendor’s representative plan.

· Perform Checklist as per supervisor instructions.

· Prepare the forms for all tests to be performed and ensure submission of the certificates,

duly signed by involved parties for final hand over to the certification engineer (QA/QC).

· To assure the proper safety procedures are followed during cable tests (meggering,

induction test), test of motors, transformers, relays, electrical panels etc.

· Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a Permit

To Work according to the project Permit To Work Procedure

· Assistance to supervisor for:

- Expediting of pending Punch List Items in accordance with Commissioning

Superintendent (COT) priorities;

- Coordination and supervision of Construction support activities during the

performance of the pre-commissioning, commissioning activities.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent Study background.

Experience

  • Management experience for an EPC company in for, at least, two plants as Commissioning Electrical Supervisor.

  • Plants for the gas treatment

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail, management skills

  • Team-oriented skills,  self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
