Job summary/Role description

He executes the activities pertaining to his discipline in compliance with the quality

requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.

 

He reports to the Commissioning Electrical Supervisor.

 

He is assigned to the Project by Commissioning Department Manager

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

- To implement the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for electrical

equipment.

· Execute with the assigned crew from the Sub Contractor all the activities pertaining to the

discipline.

· Ensure effective utilization of commissioning manpower and consumables

· Ensure the execution of Vendor’s specialists field activities with the assigned resources

from the Sub Contractor as per Vendor’s representative plan.

· Perform Checklist as per supervisor instructions.

· Prepare the forms for all tests to be performed and ensure submission of the certificates,

duly signed by involved parties for final hand over to the certification engineer (QA/QC).

· To assure the proper safety procedures are followed during cable tests (meggering,

induction test), test of motors, transformers, relays, electrical panels etc.

· Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a Permit

To Work according to the project Permit To Work Procedure.


Assistance to supervisor for:

- Expediting of pending Punch List Items in accordance with Commissioning Superintendent 

 (COT) priorities;

- Coordination and supervision of Construction support activities during the 

performance of the pre-commissioning, commissioning activities.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent Study background.

Experience

  • Management experience for an EPC company in for, at least, two plants as Instrument Electrical Loto Assistant.

  • Plants for the gas treatment

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail, management skills

  • Team-oriented skills,  self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
