Duties and Main Responsibilities

The Contractor HSE Trainer (or Training Coordinator), if / when appointed by CONTRACTOR according to contract agreements, operates within the integrated Training staff of CONTRACTOR and SUBCONTRACTORS and reports hierarchically to the CONTRACTOR Site HSE Manager. In case of absence, this role can be covered by the Site HSE Manager.

Main responsibilities of the CONTRACTOR HSE Trainer are:

Knowledge & Qualification

·        Academic education and Degree(s) or Diploma in a technical discipline.

·        Certificate as HSE Trainer according to local legislation (Saudi Aramco).

·        Formal safety training and internationally recognized safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, NSC, IOSH etc.)

·        Knowledge on ISO HSE Standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and others (e.g., SA8000).

 .      First Aider and Firefighting certificate (Recommended).

Experience & Qualification

  • HSE Trainer shall be fluent in spoken and written English and shall have at least ten (10) years of safety experience specific to previous HSE training roles.

  • Minimum Fifteen (15) years’ overall experience in HSE, at construction site (i.e. HSE officer, HSE engineer, PTW Coordinator, etc..), including commissioning phase.

Skills and Abilities

.   Fluent English.

.  Project languages speaker (English /Arabic).

.  Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills.

.  High management skills in leadership approach with a proactive method of work, capable to plan / prioritize, coach and trainer behavior based on a strong culture of safety in a continuous improvement method.

.  Attention to details.

.  Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
