Job summary/Role description

The project realizes a substantial additional aniline production capacity to the existing Covestro site in Antwerp. The project comprises all the necessary prerequisites to produce the final products, including raw materials, infrastructure, and product logistics.

 

Steel Structures Supervisor SSS is responsible for the coordination of Steel Structures Construction activities.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Organises all steel structure works in accordance with normative codes and standards;

  • Coordinates Subcontractors’ daily works (materials, positioning of equipment, machinery and manpower resources on site according to priority/assigned tasks) and, if necessary, performing analysis/forecast for the increase in these resources;

  • Reviews, comments and approves requests for variation and additional works (extra works) issued by Subcontractors;

  • Provides safe work performance and control over compliance with technical, environmental and fire safety;

  • Takes part in HSE walks through on site (Daily, weekly), prepares reports;

  • Prepares technological maps for installation of steel structures;

  • Checks planned activities implementation, confirms planned activities, progress evaluation, work, tracks schedule. Secures any possible deviations and works out measures to decrease the deviations;

  • Works with any discrepancies arising from clashing between different active construction standards;

  • Daily and weekly progress reporting on achieved and planned volumes of work.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent

Experience

  • Similar role covered at least in last three projects of comparable size;

  • Relevant experience in Petrochemical sector/EPC projects large PDH plants;

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in the specific discipline;

Skills and Abilities

  • Fluent English;

  • Excellent IT and analytical skills;

  • Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;

  • Attention to details;

  • Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
