Job summary/Role description

Assigned to a project, he/she oversees the checking and/or production of documents and deliverables assigned by the Civil Project Leader, ensuring quality, adherence to the assigned budget, and timely completion.

 

Based on expertise and experience, he/she is appointed to tasks with varying technical complexity, requiring different levels of skill. Additionally, he/she may coordinate with other engineers and/or draftsmen.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • To ensure the quality of generated deliverables and their compliance with contractual and company standards, procedures, and work instructions.

 

  • To participate in technical training as per department needs and exchange experiences with colleagues from the entire Tecnimont Group to learn new design techniques.

 

  • To stay up-to-date with technical advancements in the discipline.

 

  • To design civil and building works (including civil and industrial buildings, reinforced concrete works, etc.) based on instructions provided by the Civil Project Leader and in agreement with other disciplines. This should be done in compliance with the budget and schedule, while ensuring cost optimization.

 

  • To provide architectural design and prepare technical specifications for the supply and construction of relevant components.

 

  • To design reinforced concrete works based on structural calculations.

 

  • To integrate information and produce civil design based on data received from other disciplines (Layout & Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Utilities/Power Process, Design HSE, Mechanical, Design & Utilities/Power Process, HVAC, etc.).

 

 

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent

Experience

  • 10-15 years of experience in a relevant discipline.

  • Similar role covered in the last three projects, must be of a comparable size.

  • Experience working on the Contractor side.

  • Skill in identifying and resolving complex engineering challenges.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
