Job summary/Role description

Reports to the Civil and Structural Coordinator or their delegate. They oversee activities within the engineering team, specifically focusing on the building and civil components, both in the Home Office and on-site.

 

Conducts engineering activities with a primary focus on delivering results that meet high standards of quality, compliance, and timeliness. In the course of their duties, they may be assigned to work with other companies and can also be stationed on-site.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality of deliverables meets the contractual requirements of project contracts while adhering to the assigned budget and time schedule. Collaborate with professionals across various production centers to accomplish this objective.

 

  • Support the Group Leader in ensuring the application and continuous updating of department and company standards, procedures, and work instructions. Deliver technical training based on department and company needs, sharing experiences with colleagues throughout the Tecnimont Group to incorporate new design techniques. Assist the Group Leader in preparing Lessons Learned for specific competencies.

 

  • Stay current with technical advancements in the discipline and disseminate knowledge to other specialists and engineers. Monitor the market to provide technical and commercial evaluations of new products, technologies, workflows, and applications.

 

  • Ensure the issuance of design calculations and check drawings related to concrete, steelworks, and precast structures, following the guidelines provided by the Group Leader and in agreement with the Civil Project Leader. Develop general design criteria specifications for each project.

 

  • Provide assistance during testing, erection, and construction, particularly for structures directly managed by Civil Project Leaders. Develop internal calculation standards in line with economic optimization criteria.

 

  • Evaluate revisions to domestic and foreign standards, informing Civil Project Leaders, Engineers, and the Estimating Group Leader of the relevant impacts. Attend meetings as required.

 

  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining high standards and contributing to the success of the team and projects.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

·       University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent

Experience

·       Significant civil experience in industrial construction of Large/XL Gas plants;

·       Similar role covered at least in last three projects, of comparable size;

·       10 - 15 years relevant field experience;

·       Experience working on Contractor side
