Job summary/Role description

The Warehouse Coordinator (WHC) arranges the warehouse logistics according to the instructions of the Site Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manages information relevant to the arrival of materials on site and their availability at the warehouse;
  • Coordinates the availability of shipping documentation and updates the warehouse database with proper information;
  • Co-ordinates any necessary actions to support customs clearance of materials;
  • Manages the reception, checking, storage and preservation of materials delivered on site;
  • Manages the reception, checking, recording and tracing-ability of material certificates;
  • Issues any supplies non-conformity and follow-up the relevant resolution;
  • Initiates procedures concerning insurance claims for damage to materials during transport to Site or during erection;
  • Initiates the application for insurance claims related to materials damaged during transportation or erection;
  • Initiates claims against vendors for missing materials and/or non-conformity with the relevant purchase order;
  • Supplies Site Planner with updated information regarding materials availability at site to support the construction schedule reliability;
  • Informs Site Control Manager/Coordinator about plant material status and delivery forecasts, in order to verify the feasibility of Construction schedules;
  • Manages the delivery of materials to Subcontractors in accordance with material list presented by the same and according to the instructions given by the Supervisors;
  • Keeps records of the handling of materials, using corporate software systems;
  • Performs feasibility analysis by the Company Software System;
  • Keeps the records of surplus materials for possible sale at the end of the construction.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction EPC projects.
  • Similar role covered in projects that are of a comparable size;
  • Experience working on Contractor side.

Skills and Abilities

  • Native Spanish speaker;
  • Fluent English;
  • Excellent IT and analytical skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Excellent communications skills, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;
  • Self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
