Job summary/Role description

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our IT infrastructure and Company Device for Tecnimont Chile.  You will be part of a team of engineers that demonstrate competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. Qualified systems engineers will have a background in IT, cybersecurity and computer systems engineering.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage, Inventory and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure at Site & Branch
  • Install, Configure and maintain Company IT hardware device,
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools,
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work to implement fixes
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Provide support to End-User at every level
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Coordination with Company Headquarter to receive tasks and guidance

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10,11)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Domain infrastructure (AD, Forest, DNS, DHCP)
  • Knowledge of Cisco network devices (routers, switches, firewall, access points)
  • Knowledge of network infrastructures
  • Proactive, Kind and calm person able to face IT problems in the right way. Able in dealing with colleagues, Clients and all end-users.

Skills and Abilities

  • Native Spanish speaker;
  • Fluent English;
  • Excellent IT and analytical skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Excellent communications skills, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;
  • Self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
