Job summary/Role description

He/She as a As a Cybersecurity Manager, primary responsibilities will include a crucial role in safeguarding an organization's digital assets, information systems, and sensitive data from security threats and breaches.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Create and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with the organization's goals, industry regulations, and best practices to mitigate cyber risks effectively.

  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a secure and compliant environment in line with Saudi Arabian cybersecurity regulations and standards.

  • Conduct regular cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks within the organization's IT infrastructure.

  • Develop and oversee incident response plans to address security incidents, data breaches, and cyber attacks promptly and effectively while minimizing potential impact.

  • Implement security awareness programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices, data protection measures, and their roles in upholding a secure work environment.

  • Monitor security alerts, analyze security incidents, and investigate potential threats to detect and respond to security breaches in real-time.

  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations, data protection laws, and industry standards relevant to the organization's operations in Saudi Arabia, such as the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) regulations.

  • Evaluate the security practices of third-party vendors, manage cybersecurity risks in vendor relationships, and ensure the security of outsourced services and supply chain partners.

  • Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, including security analysts, engineers, and specialists, to effectively implement cybersecurity initiatives and projects.

  • Coordinate security incident response efforts across the organization, work with internal stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to address and resolve cybersecurity incidents.

  • Stay informed about emerging threats, cybersecurity trends, and new technologies, while continuously evaluating and enhancing the organization's cybersecurity defenses and incident response capabilities.

  • Actively monitoring systems for security vulnerabilities and gaps, conducting regular security assessments, identifying potential threats, and providing detailed reports and recommendations to senior management.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • A relevant degree such as Bachelor’s or Master’s in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Security.

Experience

  • Relevant experience in a Cybersecurity role for 1 year as minimum.

Skills and Abilities

  • Possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, best practices, and emerging threats to effectively protect the organization's digital assets.

  • Familiarity with local cybersecurity regulations, guidelines, and standards enforced by authorities such as the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) in Saudi Arabia.

  • Ability to assess cyber risks, conduct vulnerability assessments, and develop risk mitigation strategies to protect critical information assets.

  • Proficiency in developing and implementing incident response plans, coordinating security incident responses, and leading cyber incident investigations to minimize impact.

  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws, cybersecurity regulations, and industry standards relevant to the organization's operations in Saudi Arabia, including data residency requirements.

  • Strong technical skills in areas such as network security, cloud security, encryption, intrusion detection systems, and cybersecurity tools to manage and secure IT infrastructure.

  • Ability to lead and empower a team of cybersecurity professionals, provide guidance, mentorship, and foster a culture of security awareness within the organization.

  • Effective communication skills to articulate complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and report cybersecurity incidents or findings.

  • Strong analytical skills to identify cybersecurity threats, analyze security vulnerabilities, and develop effective mitigation strategies to protect against cyber risks.

  • Aptitude for evaluating complex cybersecurity challenges, devising innovative solutions, and making informed decisions to enhance the organization's security posture.

  • Ability to assess third-party vendor security risks, establish vendor risk management processes, and ensure that vendors comply with cybersecurity requirements.

  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threats through continuous learning, certifications, and participation in industry conferences and events.

  • Implementing and managing user access controls to ensure secure data access.

  • Managing user identities and access rights within the organization's network.

  • Analyzing security policies and assessing potential risks to develop effective cybersecurity strategies.

  • Designing and implementing firewall solutions to secure network infrastructure.

  • Proficient in various internetworking technologies to ensure secure communication and data transfer between systems.
