Job summary/Role description
|
Commissioning Mechanical & Machinery Coordinator executes the activities pertaining to the
pre-commissioning and commissioning of the unit in compliance with the
quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations, and following
the stated procedures.

|
Duties and responsibilities
|
To
develop the detailed pre-commissioning procedures for Machinery &
Packages, procedures for the functional tests of the machineries according to
the instructions of Commissioning Machinery Superintendent. To
field check the DAC and prepare relevant Commissioning punch list, following
the CME instructions. Expediting
closing of pending Punch List Items in accordance with Commissioning Superintendent
(COT) priorities; Monitor and ensure the activities are carried out in
accordance with the procedures and requirements. Ensure
all safety rules are in force and are followed in field. Supervise
the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization. To
organize and manage the operations in field of the assigned team from the Sub Contractor
by controlling their job and the implementation of Plant Safety procedures in
case of emergency. Support
the Vendors specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their
actions with the Commissioning supervisors. Supervise
the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization. To
keep records of all activities performed in the log book To
produce the certificates, duly signed by the involved parties, and handover
to certification
engineer (QA/QC). Responsible
for ongoing maintenance (planned and corrective maintenance on Plant Units already
in Operation) in accordance with Commissioning Superintendent (COT) and Commissioning
Machinery Superintendent (CMT) priorities Can
be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a
Permit To Work according to the project Permit To Work Procedure

Knowledge & Qualifications
|
|
Experience
|
Relevant
experience in construction/modernisation of large Petrochemical plants/ EPC projects; Good
understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings; Strong
subcontractors and construction/commissioning management experience in EPC
project, Large/XL plants; Minimum
5 years’ experience in the specific discipline; Similar
role covered in last three projects, of comparable size; Experience
working on Contractor side.
