Job summary/Role description

TM and TM Arabia Limited have been awarded two lump-sum turn-key EPC contracts related to a petrochemical expansion at the SATORP Refinery (a JV composed of Saudi Aramco and Total Energies), in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The overall value of the contracts is approximately USD 2 billion. The contracts relate to the execution of two packages of the complex, namely the “Derivatives Units” package - which includes a butadiene extraction unit, an olefin extraction unit, a methyl tert-butyl ether unit, a butadiene selective hydrogenation unit, a 2nd stage pygas hydrogenation unit and benzene & toluene extraction unit - and the “High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) & Logistic Area” package, which includes two polyethylene units and the relevant product logistic facilities.

 

To support the execution of the Installation Work Packages (IWP) for the assigned projects, in close collaboration with the AWP Champion and Construction Manager, ensuring that all deliverables are made ready and consistent with the construction schedule.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

·          The main responsibilities of the Construction Workface Engineer, operatively reporting to the Construction AWP Champion when assigned to the Project, are:

·         In coordination with AWP Champion and Construction Manager, Supervisors and Subcontractors, ensure the proper field workface preparation, i.e. the process of organizing, looking ahead and delivering all the elements necessary for an Installation Work Package (IWP), being the latter the frontline deliverable provided to field workforce before the work gets started (including documents/activities such as: Method of Statements (MoS), Permits to Work (PTW), Material Issuing report (MIR), Quality Control Forms (QCF), check of allocated resources, accesses, availability of construction equipment and tools, …).

·         Collect all the information to be included in the IWPs.

·         Support Construction Subcontractors to implement the workface preparation of defined IWP.

·         Ensure the submission and approval of the and/or any Permit to Work (PTW) and any confined access permit needed for the execution of IWP.

·         Support the AWP Champion/Engineers for the update of the IWP target execution dates into the Control Panel consistent with the construction level 4 schedule.

·         Verify that Site Supervisors and Material Control group initiate, issue and prepare the material as per MIR for the planned IWP.

·         Track the completion of the IWP up to QC certification of the works and relevant punch-list.

·         Moreover, as a member of the AWP group, the Construction Workface Engineer coordinates with his/her responsible for the update of the relevant procedures/work instructions, and the collection of the opportunities and Lessons Learned for improvement of the process.

Knowledge & Qualifications

·         University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent

Experience

·         Experience using Microsoft Windows office package.

·         Deep Knowledge and expertise in Microsoft excel.

·         Relevant experience in construction/modernization of industrial/Petrochemical sector/EPC projects large plants.

·         At least 3 years of experience in the specific discipline.
