Job summary/Role description

  • He executes the activities pertaining to his discipline by means of the Instrumental Specialists acting under his responsibility, in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate the activities of the Instrumental specialist CIA, CLC, CCS.

  • To field check the DAC and prepare relevant Commissioning punch list, following the CME instructions.

  • Review the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for all installations under his responsibilities (field instrumentation, plant control systems, fire and gas units, online analyzers).

  • Develop new or review the existing inspection forms for the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities pertaining to Instrumentation activities.

  • Monitor and ensure the activities are carried out as per schedule and in accordance with the procedures and requirements.

  • Coordinate with other disciplines like process, machinery, electrical for the smooth completion of the activities.

  • Ensure all safety rules are in force and are followed in field.

  • Report and update on the progress of the activities.

  • Suggest to the Commissioning Manager the needs for mobilization of Vendors specialists.

  • Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.

 

In charge for:

 

  • Ongoing maintenance (planned and corrective maintenance on Plant Units already in Operation) in accordance with Commissioning Superintendent (CST) priorities.

  • Expediting of pending Punch List Items in accordance with Commissioning Superintendent (CST) priorities.

  • Coordination and supervision of Construction support activities during the performance of the pre-commissioning, commissioning activities.

 

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in construction of large Oil & Gas plants/ EPC projects.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail.

  • Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
