Job summary/Role description
|
As a Civil / Buildings Discipline Leader will cooperate with the
Field Engineering Manager (FEM) in the coordination of the engineering team
moved on site, in order to assist the supervisors’ group of Construction
(CONST) during the erection phase, specifically for steel/concrete
structures and underground systems.

Duties and responsibilities
|
To assist FEM in enforcing of technical
updates (if necessary) concerning the steel/concrete structures and
underground systems during erection, in tight coordination with the main
office, in compliance with the contractual technical requirements. To control and handling of site
engineering updates, in order to minimize the impacts on timing and costs of
the project. To assist FEM in handling site queries,
site material approval activities, concerning the steel/concrete structures
and underground systems. To coordinate the steel/concrete works
design on site on the basis of the data received from other discipline
(Layout & Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Utilities/ Power Process,
Design HSE, Mechanical, Design & Utilities/Power Process, HVAC etc.); To check and approve late vendor’s
documents (erection and shop dwg. list of materials, 3D model etc.); To assist FEM in the global technical
coordination between the several engineering developing centers of the
project (especially main office and site, but also other in the project
involved group’s companies, subcontractors, vendors, partners). To cooperate with PEM and FEM to
provide feedback to the department’s chief concerning the problems occurred
during the application of standard procedures and instructions, in order to
improve department’s efficacy and efficiency; To update himself on department’s
developments and progresses.

Person Specification
|
Knowledge & Qualifications
|
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering is
preferred. Expert in AutoCad 2D drawings for
modifying documents and in Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection. Expert in TEKLA Structure software and
STAAD or SAP is a plus. Experience in coordinating
international Mechanical or Civil Subcontractors (engineering centers or
site). Fluent English speaker and writer. Availability to travel for short and
long period .

Experience
|
Significant experience in the
industrial construction of large or XL gas plants. Covered a similar role in at least 2-3
projects of comparable size. A minimum of 15 years of relevant
experience. Experience working on the Contractor
side.
