Job summary/Role description

The project is located in the Gdansk Refinery, and it is aimed at improving its crude processing capability as well as ensuring higher quality and energy-efficient fuels and relates to the execution of a hydrocracking unit (Hydrocracked Base Oil Plant) with associated logistic facilities, which will allow the production of Group II base oils. This innovative plant will be the second one in Europe and will be capable of treating better performing base oil groups, with a lower environmental impact.

 

The Process Control & Automation Engineer is involved in the engineering and development of the plant Control Systems and Safety Instrumented Systems.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • During the execution of a project, the duties of Engineer are:

  • To produce technical documentation assigned, guaranteeing the quality of the generated deliverables and their compliance with the contractual and company standards, procedures and work instructions.

  • to attend to technical training as per department needs and exchange experience with colleagues of the entire Group for new Design techniques.

  • To keep himself up-to-date about the technical specific improvement of the discipline.

  • To improve his/her knowledge and skill in using the CAE tools.

  • To prepare, under the supervision of a Project Leader or a Specialist, specifications, material requisitions, technical evaluations and engineering deliverables for Control systems.

  • To verify and comment the Vendor drawings developed during the project execution.

  • To attend to the Factory Acceptance Test of the Control Systems.

  • To attend (when required) to the system power on and site acceptance test of Control Systems at plant site.

 

 

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent

Experience

  • Similar role covered at least in last three projects, of comparable size;

  • 5 five years relevant field experience;

  • Experience working on Contractor side

Skills and Abilities

  • Fluent English;

  • Excellent IT and analytical skills;

  • Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;

  • Attention to details;

  • Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
