Job Description/Role Summary

Planning Lead Engineer (SPC) is a part of the Project Control team in a construction site following the

activities related to the control of the construction works, in compliance with established Project

Master Schedule, and the promptly respect of all reporting documentation both to external and

internal stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop Construction Schedule within the time extent already established in the Project Schedule.
  • Prepare the standard manhour estimate based on design quantities and the established WBS.
  • Feed Schedule with estimated standard Manhours to obtain Progress Curves and Manpower Histograms.
  • Ensure that the detailed schedules developed by the subcontractors, as per their contractual obligations, are consistent with the Level 4 Construction Schedule.
  • Perform the scheduled control at the cut-off dates and provide forecasts on completion dates, especially in presence of any adverse trends so that effective recovery plan can be properly enforced.
  • Assess physical progress at the cut-off dates to show evidence of any deviations from the baseline and therefore suggest remedial actions, if any.
  • Perform manpower control by collecting time sheets from the subcontractors and comparing the actual manpower with the planned ones, as per baseline.
  • Prepare the weekly/monthly Progress Report related to the site activities in accordance with the Project Procedures
