Job summary/Role description
|
Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. (MAIRE)-Arabia have
been awarded two lump-sum turn-key EPC contracts related to a petrochemical
expansion at the SATORP Refinery (a JV composed of Saudi Aramco and Total
Energies), in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The petrochemical facility
will enable conversion of internally produced refinery off-gases and naphtha,
as well as ethane and natural gasoline, into higher value chemicals. The
overall value of the contracts is approximately USD 2 billion. The contracts
relate to the execution of two packages of the complex, namely the
“Derivatives Units” package –and the “High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) &
Logistic Area” package. The project’s scope of work entails complete
engineering services, equipment and material supply, construction activities,
pre-commissioning, and commissioning, and shall have a duration of
approximately 4 years.
HSE Trainer is responsible for HSE training activities. HSE Trainer prepares
the content focused on HSE discipline for technical training, conducts HSE
safety inductions and briefings, verifies and ensures that all field
activities are performed according to the Company HSE Policy, the
regulations, standards and procedures, promoting all preventive and
corrective action as required.

Duties and responsibilities
|
- Identify Project HSE training needs.
- Develop, organize and coordinate appropriate mandatory HSE
training courses for all employees and subcontractors.
- Deliver on site and classroom based HSE trainings.
- Ensure that training material is available for all training
events.
- Lead and coordinate training and emergency drill mock and
fire prevention/fighting activities.
- Continuously update training materials for existing courses
and manage the development of new material when necessary, including
working with subject matter experts and other trainers.
- Apply changes to the HSE training process and procedures in
accordance with the Continuous Improvement approach.
- Ensure the training meets company and client requirements,
local legislation, and industry best practice.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of HSE training and
develops appropriate training solutions/changes to ensure a high level
of quality and competency.
- Ensure consistency of HSE training activities &
documentation across all disciplines.
- Check that Subcontractors perform their activities in
accordance with all the HSE applicable procedures, regulation, and
standards, promoting all necessary action to ensure that the said
procedures and regulations are observed.
- Take part in case of work accidents in a full investigation
of the event, finalized to the identification of corrective measure to
avoid reoccurrence.
- Undertake additional duties as required to facilitate and
enhance Company HSE training activities.
- Review weekly accident, incident and near miss reports to
identify training needs.
- Participate in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA);
- Prepare and update the Site HSE Statistics, verify the
performance versus the Project and corporate HSE Objective, Targets, and
performance indicators; propose recovery plan in case of mismatch.
- Submit regular reports to the HSE Manager on the status of
the HSE training program.

Knowledge &
Qualifications
|
- University Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline or
equivalent
|
Experience
|
- Relevant experience in construction/modernization of large
Petrochemical plants/ EPC projects.
- Strong subcontractors and construction/commissioning
management experience in EPC project, Large/XL plants.
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in the specific discipline.
- Relevant Certification of
local Industrial Safety for engineers/specialists.
- Similar role covered in last three projects of comparable size.
- Experience working on Contractor side.

- Fluent English & Hindi/Urdu.
- Knowledge
in Arabic will be an added advantage for this position.
- Excellent IT and analytical skills.
- Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to details.
- Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward
timely performance and problem resolution.
