Job summary/Role description

Tecnimont and Tecnimont Arabia Limited have been awarded two lump-sum turn-key EPC contracts related to a petrochemical expansion at the SATORP Refinery (a JV composed of Saudi Aramco and Total Energies), in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The overall value of the contracts is approximately USD 2 billion. The contracts relate to the execution of two packages of the complex, namely the “Derivatives Units” package - which includes a butadiene extraction unit, an olefin extraction unit, a methyl tert-butyl ether unit, a butadiene selective hydrogenation unit, a 2nd stage pygas hydrogenation unit and benzene & toluene extraction unit - and the “High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) & Logistic Area” package, which includes two polyethylene units and the relevant product logistic facilities.

The project’s scope of work entails complete engineering services, equipment and material supply, construction activities, pre-commissioning, and commissioning, and shall have a duration of approximately 4 years.


Material Receiving Inspector (Mechanical) checks and guarantees that certificates are prepared and duly collected and promotes any necessary action to ensure that the final material received ,verification, traceability, and clearance.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Knowledge and experience of material receiving and inspection as per Client’s procedures
  • To forward materials to Subcontractors, according to the instructions given by the Material Controller.
  • To keep records about the handling of materials, using the Company software systems.
  • To perform feasibility analysis by the Company software system.
  • To maintain the inventory of unused material for sale.
  • To have general Mechanical QCI background (Metallic/ Non-Metallic Piping, Valves, Hydrotesting, Coating).

Knowledge & Qualifications

·       A university degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • Relevant experience in construction/modernization of oil & gas /industrial sector/ EPC projects large refinery plants.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the specific discipline.
  • Experience working on Main Contractor side.
  • Previous approval from KSA clients will be considered an advantage for further evaluation.
