summary/Role description
|
CEA executes
the activities pertaining to his discipline in compliance with the quality
requirements,
health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.
|

|
Duties and
responsibilities
|
- Implement pre-commissioning and
commissioning procedures for electrical equipment.
- Execute activities with the assigned
crew from the Subcontractor within the discipline.
- Ensure effective utilization of
commissioning manpower and consumables.
- Execute Vendor’s specialists field
activities in accordance with the Vendor’s representative plan.
- Perform checklists as per supervisor
instructions.
- Prepare forms for all tests,
ensuring submission of certificates signed by involved parties for final
handover to the certification engineer (QA/QC).
- Ensure proper safety procedures
during cable tests (megger, induction test), motor and transformer
tests, relay tests, and electrical panel tests.
- Serve as an authorized person
designated by the site manager to receive or issue permits.
- Work according to the project Permit
to Work Procedure.
- Assistance the supervisor in; a.
Expediting of pending Punch List Items in accordance with Commissioning
Superintendent (COT) priorities; b. Coordination and supervision of
Construction support activities during the performance of the
pre-commissioning, commissioning activities. C. To implement the
pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for rotary equipment.
- Execute activities with the assigned
crew from the Subcontractor within the discipline.
- Ensure effective utilization of
commissioning manpower and consumables.
- Prepare forms for all tests,
ensuring submission of certificates signed by involved parties for final
handover to the certification engineer (QA/QC).
- Carry out and verify instrument
calibration.
- Provide effective troubleshooting
during loop tests and logic tests.
- Ensure proper removal and
reinstatement of instruments and control devices during commissioning
activities.
- Serve as an authorized person
designated by the site manager to receive or issue permits according to
the project Permit to Work Procedure.
- Assist the supervisor in expediting
pending Punch List Items and coordinating/supervising construction
support activities during pre-commissioning and commissioning.

Knowledge &
Qualifications
|
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in
Electrical Engineering.
|
Experience
|
- Minimum of 3 to 5 year's work
experience.
- Significant experience in in a
similar position on EPC Oil & Gas projects/ Refinery.
- Experience in on-site
pre-commissioning / commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
