Job summary/Role description

To execute the Electrical Maintenance activities of the Plant, Utilities and Offsite Installations

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • To receive the work orders relative to the electrical maintenance, to organize for the pertinent teams, material and tools to carry out the job, strictly under PTW procedure.
  • To check periodically all the electrical installation including their operating parameters
  • To ensure that Maintenance resources, subcontractors and vendors are available and fit to the task.
  • To ensure that spares are ready at hand and staff has been briefed on the task expected.
  • Raise a risk assessment case when further Safety investigations are advisable.
  • To strictly follow the OES (original equipment supplier/manufacturer) instructions on maintenance and servicing of the items. To ensure the presence of the vendor when required.
  • To ensure that the equipment to be maintained has been mechanically, electrically and process isolated, instructing the teams to post the pertinent warnings on the equipment.
  • To ensure the HSE presence as applicable from the PTW.
  • To ensure that the working team issues an exhaustive report about the job carried out for CMMS purposes.
  • To ensure to respect the timing provided for the job, reporting eventual delays and deviations.
  • To monitor the frequency of failures on similar electrical equipment, generators and motors reporting eventual discrepancies.
  • To regularly attend the morning meetings as required.
  • To Actively follow the Electrical W/S to be adequately equipped and resource like fit to the purpose.
  • To Maintain the testing and calibrating equipment in good working order.
  • To check that all electrical measurement equipment is fit to the purpose and ready for use.
  • To check that all cathodic protection measurement equipment are reliable and in good working condition. Cooperate with the cathodic protection specialist.
  • To check the UPS systems for compliance with the operating requirements .
  • To make sure that all electrical crews have received the right HSE training.
  • To make sure that all electric Supervisors and specialist have valid licenses to carry out their job.

To actively interface with Management/Company, Local Authorities and users for Power availability and distribution issues

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University degree

Experience

  • Experiences in Refinery operation
  • Plant for the gas treatment

  • Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
