Job summary/Role description |
|
Operation Field Operator executes the activities pertaining to the operation of an entire unit of the Plant. He operates in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures. He can operate in one of the following different fields according to the specific project: Power, Oil and Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical Operation Field Operator execute the Plant / Area Operation shift function in providing operational service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. |

Duties and responsibilities |
|
· Operating in field, under the instruction of the Operation Board Operator / Shift Supervisor, he is responsible to maintain in operation under safe condition the plant/unit/equipment at the maximum required efficiency point keeping the production or other detectable parameter at higher point. · In case of trip or partial load, have to operate and remove the constraint and increase again the load. · Overlap his colleague to bring all remarks and happenings of the plant during his shift off. · Read carefully the written handovers in the Control Room logbook. · Apply lockout and other safety procedures for equipment under maintenance. · He follows Shift Supervisor and Board Operator instructions to operate the plant in field being physically present close to the starting machine or any other equipment. · Checks for smoke leaks, noises, vibrations, fluid levels, instrument readings and any kind of abnormal condition in the field. · He operates in shift on 24/7 basis · To manage the operations in field of the assigned team by controlling their job and the implementation of Plant Safety procedures in case of emergency. · To check that the safe conditions for maintenance teams are in place before issuing the Permit to Work in cooperation with Shift Supervisor · He issues PTW (permits to work) and is responsible for the safety condition of the item being under maintenance applying the lockout procedure. He must also apply all other safety procedures in compliance with Site Safety Plan in cooperation with Shift Supervisor · With the change of the shift, the Shift Operator leaving the plant have to inform the coming shift supervisor about the plant condition and undergoing test or operations with written notice on the logbook assuring the coming shift supervisor have a clear picture of the plant condition. · Manage process offline sampling · He has to manage, if necessary, the communication with the external interfaces. · Overlaps his colleague to bring all remarks and happenings of the plant during his shift off. · Checks the plant in each one of its systems and especially in its running equipment to identify possible troubles. · Checks alarms and blocks on DCS alarm page · Organizes normal assistance to the maintenance team during their job. · Reports his colleagues about any problems arose during his shift. (Any problems must be written in the control room logbook). · He is responsible for filling in the control room logbook with all remarks needed about operation, maintenance, trip and incident occurred during the shift. Liaises with OWNER’s operation & maintenance team and Vendors Representatives. |
