Job summary/Role description

The Site Procurement Coordinator operates within the procurement team assigned to a project, coordinating activities in line with the guidance of the Project Procurement Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

• To assist Project Procurement Manager in the preparation of project

procurement procedures, guidelines, and project procurement standards of the project.

• To assist Project Procurement Manager in the document management

cycle of vendor’s deliverables.

• To assist Project Procurement Manager in the project procurement

activities, from the issue of Material requisitions up to the delivery of materials at site.

• To assist Project Procurement Manager in controlling compliance of

procurement activities with project schedule.

• To assist Project Procurement Manager in the issue and implementation

of project procurement reporting towards PMT and the Client.

• To assist Project Procurement Manager in the preparation of

documentation for application of back-charges to Vendors.

As a member of the department, the duties of Project Procurement Assistant are:

• To provide feedback to the head of department concerning problems arising from application of standard

methods and work instruction to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.

• To keep him/herself up to date about the specific improvement of the discipline.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University degree or diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

  • Significant experience in the industrial construction of large or XL gas plants.
  • Covered a similar role in at least 2-3 projects of comparable size.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working on the Main Contractor side.
  • Previous experience with ADNOC projects would be ideal.
  • Proficiency of Procurement Applications.(e.g. SAP, ARIBA etc.)
  • Able to deal quickly and effectively with large amount of information
