Leadership and Coordination
Overseeing/supervising team members and ensuring
each person understands their role and responsibilities.
Assigning specific tasks based on team members’
strengths and the situation’s demands.
Keeping the team motivated, calm, and focused
during high-stress situations.
Situation Analysis: Rapidly assessing the
severity, type, and location of the emergency to make informed decisions back
to On-Scene Commander.
Risk Assessment by identifying potential risks to
team members, the general construction site workforce and property, and
planning actions to mitigate them.
Strategic Planning by developing a response plan
that considers resource availability, team capabilities, and potential
hazards.
Quick judgments making swift decisions with
limited information, adapting the response as new information becomes
available.
Prioritizing actions based on urgency, safety,
and impact, ensuring the most critical issues are addressed first.
Knowledgeable and experienced on victim recovery
assessments whether beneficial or dangerous for rescue/recovery and take
immediate decision after approval from On-Scene Commander
Directly reports to On-Scene Commander for any
potential situations and/or conditions that affect employees and all
emergency events on site.
Keeping team members informed of changing
conditions, plans, and any immediate threats.
Keeping accurate records of decisions, actions,
and outcomes for accountability and future references.
Safety and Protocol Enforcement
Efficiently deploying ERT personnel, equipment,
and other resources to optimize response effectiveness.
Coordinating logistics, transportation, shelter,
and other logistic needs for/during emergency response purposes.
Regular Drills and Training: Conducting training
sessions to ensure the team is prepared for various scenarios.
Identifying areas for improvement and providing
additional training or resources as needed.
Regularly reviewing and updating emergency
response plans based on past incidents and new best practices.
Reporting: Preparing detailed reports on the
incident, response actions, outcomes, and lessons learned.
Implementing changes in procedures or training to
enhance future response effectiveness.
