Job summary/Role description

TM and TM Arabia Limited have been awarded two lump-sum turn-key EPC contracts related to a petrochemical expansion at the SATORP Refinery (a JV composed of Saudi Aramco and Total Energies), in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

Responsible in overseeing the selection of suppliers for Piping and Mechanical discipline and ensuring they meet the company's quality standards. Additionally, they will provide technical support to suppliers, conduct training and workshops on quality standards, and communicate regularly with internal departments to address any supplier-related quality issues.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Supervise the selection of suppliers, ensuring they adhere to our quality standards.

  • Evaluate suppliers' processes and systems for alignment with our quality requirements.

  • Execute audits on suppliers' methodologies and systems, pinpointing areas that need enhancement.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to devise and execute improvement strategies and corrective measures.

  • Manage supplier-related documentation such as contracts, performance assessments, and quality audits.

  • Engage in product development activities, ensuring quality aspects are well integrated.

  • Monitor supplier performance indices and devise action plans whenever performance benchmarks aren't achieved.

  • Extend technical support relating to quality aspects to our suppliers.

  • Organize training sessions and workshops focusing on quality standards for suppliers.

  • Facilitate regular interdepartmental communications with purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve any supplier-induced quality concerns.

  • Analyze manufacturing specifications for identifying raw material needs.

  • Identify the best vendors for sourcing necessary materials through meticulous exploration and assessment.

  • Visit vendor facilities periodically to observe manufacturing processes and evaluate their alignment with established procedures.

  • Conduct routine quality audits to ensure strict adherence to our company and federal standards by vendors.

  • Examine incoming supplies and products to detect defects and verify quality.

  • Test and assess products to identify potential quality-related issues.

  • Compile comprehensive reports on supplier quality, highlighting defect rates and problematic areas.

  • Dispense technical advice to suppliers aiming at defect rate reduction.

  • Act as an intermediary between our senior management and vendors, identifying and addressing quality concerns.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree in Engineering or Diploma in a Mechanical discipline or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the piping and mechanical discipline.

  • Similar role covered in last three projects of comparable size.

  • Experience working on Aramco projects with Contractor/Client side.
