Job
summary/Role description
|
Provide for the preparation
of the assigned technical documentation (of varying technical complexity,
according to acquired skills and experience) - for example the basic design
of electrical systems (Transformation, Distribution, Lighting, Electrical Protection),
Instrumental (Fire & Gas detection, Telecom, Monitoring and Regulation)
and Automation (in particular but not limited to HVAC systems), as well as
the technical management of components and systems serving the buildings -
under the supervision of the Building Design Project Leader or the Building
Electrical & Instrumentation Specialist, ensuring their quality in
compliance with the assigned time and budget.

Duties and responsibilities
|
Carry out the design of electrical,
instrumental and automation systems serving civil and industrial buildings – such
as the drafting of specifications and/or reports, the execution of
calculations, the technical management of supplies for the components and
systems assigned -, according to the indications of more senior figures and
in coordination with other disciplines; Ensure the quality of the documentation
produced and its compliance with the contractual requirements of the assigned
project(s), in compliance with the program, as well as with company
standards; Verify and comment on documents produced by
Vendors and Subcontractors during project development; Interface with other disciplines in order to
acquire useful information for the design of electrical, instrumental and
automation systems serving civil and industrial buildings and collaborate in
integrated and interdisciplinary design activities; Collaborate for the discipline assigned to
the integrated 3D modeling of the building developed with BIM methodology; Collaborate in activities related to the
estimation of quantities and works and in the drafting of the necessary
technical documentation aimed at both the acquisition of projects and the
execution of the systems; Assist the Building Design Project Leader in
preparing the technical documentation referred to in the Request for
Materials relating to Electrical and Instrumental systems in accordance with
project requirements; Follow the development of supplies relating
to Electrical and Instrumental systems; Support, where required, the
estimation and quantification activities associated with the Electrical and
Instrumental systems of competence; Assist the functions responsible for
testing, construction and commissioning activities , based on project
requests and needs Participate, alongside or temporarily
replacing the Specialist, in factory testing activities for the systems; Electrical
and Instrumental in close collaboration with the Testing department, and for
installation, start-up and acceptance testing activities at the site; Assist the Group Leader or Department Head
in ensuring the application and continuous updating of the standards,
procedures and work instructions within the remit of the Function; Participate in technical training and share
experiences about design techniques with other colleagues; Keep up to date with technical innovations
specific to your discipline, monitoring the market on the “state of the art”,
as well as providing technical and commercial evaluations on new products,
technologies, work cycles, applications, etc., where requested.
