Job summary/Role description
|
Assigned to a project, he is in charge of producing
documents and deliverables assigned to him by the Civil Project Leader
guaranteeing the quality, the assigned budget and time. The Engineer reports
to the Civil Project Leader or a Specialist for the peculiarities of the
project and to the Group Leader or Head of Department for man-hours and
quality of the deliverables. According to the expertise and experience he is
appointed to tasks with different technical complexity and requiring
different levels of skill; he/she may coordinate other engineers and/or
draftsmen.

Duties and responsibilities
|
- Guarantee the quality of the generated deliverables and their
compliance with the contractual and company standards, procedures and
work instructions.
- Attend to technical training as per department needs and exchange
experience with colleagues of the entire Tecnimont Group for new Design
techniques.
- Keep himself up to date about the technical specific improvement
of the discipline.
- Design the steel works (process industrial bldg., pipe racks,
warehouse etc.), on the basis given by the Civil Project Leader, and in
agreement with other disciplines, in compliance with the budget and the
schedule, while securing cost optimization.
- Execute the 3D model and dwg. extraction of steel works according
to the structural calculation.
- Coordinate the steel works design on the basis of the data
received from other discipline (Layout & Piping, Electrical,
Instrumentation, Utilities/ Power Process, Design HSE, Mechanical,
Design & Utilities/Power Process, HVAC etc.)
- Check and approve vendor’s document (erection and shop dwg. list
of materials, 3D model etc.).
- Material receiving
inspectors shall be assigned from the specific disciplines to perform
receiving inspection functions for their disciplines.

Person Specification
|
Knowledge & Qualifications
|
- University degree or
diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.
|
Experience
|
- A minimum of 10 years of
relevant experience.
- Relevant experience
in construction/modernization of oil & gas /industrial sector/
EPC projects large refinery plants.
- Experience working on the
Contractor side.
