Job summary/Role description
|
Project Control Coordinator leads project control
team and coordinates the overall project control activities of the large turnkey
project, in compliance with contractual requirements following Company
standard methodology and Project Director/Project Manager instructions.
|
Duties and responsibilities
|
- To prepare for its
area of responsibility and to collaborate to the definition with Project
Director/Project Manager, Procurement Manager, Construction Manager and
Project Engineer Manager, the Project Execution Plan of the project and
assure its application throughout the entire project life to reach the
proposed target.
- To create and
maintain, with the cooperation of and coordinating Project Control
Engineers, the project control procedures, guidelines and project
control standards of the project.
- To co-ordinate the
finalization of project WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and
implementation, involving Project Director\Project Manager, Project
Engineering Manager, Project Procurement Manager, Site Manager and Commissioning
Manager guaranteeing the overall consistency and feasibility and
fulfilling the contractual Requirements.
- To coordinate the
“Transfer Meeting” with the involved project key personnel and
Commercial Division for the endorsement of the Final Estimate to
generate the Original Budget.
- To co-ordinate the
preparation of the project schedules at different level of details, as
appropriate, involving Project Director\Project Manager, Project
Engineering Manager, Project Procurement Manager, Site Manager,
Commissioning Manager. The schedules will be normally supplemented by
progress curves and manpower histograms, as appropriate. Such a
schedules, after Project Director/Project Manager and Client’s approval
will be frozen as Project Baselines.
- To ensure the
routine control activities for the project aimed to achieve the
completion time as per baseline, anticipating any possible adverse
trends affecting the targets and suggesting remedial actions.
- To ensure the
overall project control among the operational center’s (other companies
of the group, subcontractors, partners, site) involved in the project
control activities of the project.
- To control in
collaboration with Project Director, Project Manager, Project
Procurement Manager, Site Manager Commissioning Manager and Project
Engineer Manager the cost control to ensure the project profitability,
as per the original budget.
- To evaluate the
scope changes, design modifications and variance in terms of time and
cost supporting Contract Manager in preparing the Change Orders towards
Client.
- To co-ordinate the
preparation of the charts to support the project review meetings and to
monitor the execution of the agreed remedial actions.
- To coordinate the
preparation of the routine Project Indicators.
- To co-ordinate and
assure project reporting towards Tecnimont and Client.
- To ensure the
periodical inputs to generate Company Workload.
- To support Contract
Manager in performing the periodical risk analysis for the Project and
assisting Project.
- Director\Project
Manager in management of the relevant contingencies.
- To ensure the timely
publishing of Project Control Documents in Project Control section of
Company intranet.
- As a member of the
department, the duties of PCC are:
- To provide feedback
to Project Control Vice President concerning problems arising from
application of
- standard methods and
work instruction to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.
- To ensure the
professional growth of the assigned project control engineers as per
department and
- Company needs and
exchange experience with colleagues (PCM).
- To keep him/herself
up to date about the specific improvement of the discipline.

Knowledge &
Qualifications
|
- Diploma or
degree in a related field.
|
Experience
|
- Minimum 8
years of experience in Project Control in oil and gas, petrochemical, or
similar industries.
