Job summary/Role description

The Hail & Ghasha project is a significant development by ADNOC aimed at achieving gas self-sufficiency for the UAE while incorporating innovative decarbonization technologies. Tecnimont, part of the Maire Group, has been awarded the onshore portion of this project, which is valued at approximately $8.7 billion2.

Tecnimont's scope includes:

  • Construction of two gas processing units and three sulfur recovery sections.
  • Development of associated utilities, offsite facilities, and export pipelines.
  • Integration of carbon capture and recovery units to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions3.

The project also emphasizes sustainability by leveraging clean power from nuclear and renewable sources. It's a landmark initiative that combines advanced technology with environmental responsibility.

Oversees vendor activities on-site, ensuring adherence to quality standards, health, safety, and environmental regulations, while strictly following established procedures.

Duties and responsibilities

Main responsibilities are:

  • Implement the Vendors deployment schedule prepared by the CMM ensuring its compliance with the needs of the commissioning group and keeping it updated following the project needs.
  • Cooperate with Head Office for the organization of the presence of the Vendors specialist at Site.
  • Follow-up the correspondence between site and vendor representative to formalize any change or modification raised during vendor activities or discovered during site check.
  • Ensure that the Vendors specialists comply with all necessary administrative tasks while present at Site.
  • Monitor and control Vendors’ budget and vendors’ attendance at Site.
  • When requested from the Commissioning Manager co-ordinate technically the Vendors specialist in the execution of the field activities.
  • The above duties can be carried out either from home office or at site depending on the project complexity.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Suitable University Degree

Experience

  • Significant experience on a similar position on EPC Oil & Gas projects of large or XL gas plants.
  • Covered a similar role in at least 2-3 projects of comparable size.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working on the Contractor side.
