Job summary/Role description

TM and TM Arabia Limited have been awarded two lump-sum turn-key EPC contracts related to a petrochemical expansion at the SATORP Refinery (a JV composed of Saudi Aramco and Total Energies), in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The overall value of the contracts is approximately USD 2 billion. The project’s scope of work entails complete engineering services, equipment and material supply, construction activities, pre-commissioning, and commissioning, and shall have a duration of approximately 4 years.

Has the responsibility for developing and guaranteeing the Quality Management System for the assigned

Project, in compliance with the corporate System for Management of Quality and the contractual

requirements, for small to medium projects (or sub-projects), with the support of the Project Quality Group Leader or of a Project Quality Manager.

Is responsible for managing the project activities related to Quality concerning meeting the schedule and the time budget.

Has the task of suggesting improvements to the corporate quality system, working in close contact with the project group.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop the project Quality management system, in compliance with the corporate system and with the contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and present to the Clients the Project Quality Plan and the Schedule for the Project Audits, in agreement with the Project Manager.
  • ·Interface with the Client and with Third Parties, as a representative of the Project Manager, for all topics regarding quality.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Project Quality Plans by means of planning, execution and follow-up of the Project Inspections.
  • Manage the project procedures, especially in relation to coordination, control of variations, control of documentation, tested for compliance with the Project Quality Plan.
  • Manage the performance of the Audits with Vendors and Subcontractors, when required.
  • Ensure the adoption and the completion of any corrective actions.
  • Guarantee that the project staff are fully familiar with the Project’s Quality System.
  • Manage the project activities related to Quality concerning meeting the schedule and the time budget.
  • Gather information on the progress of the primary quality indicators required for the monitoring of the Project.
  • Collect evaluation elements for the operation of the project management system and formulate and promote with the Project Manager and the project team actions for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager in the application of the Project Confidentiality Plan.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent

Experience

  • Relevant experience in construction/modernization of large Petrochemical plants/ EPC projects.
  • Strong subcontractors and construction/commissioning management experience in EPC project, Large/XL plants.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the specific discipline.
  • Previous experience with the same client will be more suitable
  • Similar role covered in last three projects of comparable size.
  • Experience working on Contractor side
