Job summary

The Site Planning Manager is a senior leadership role within the Project Control team, responsible for overseeing all planning and scheduling activities on the construction site. This role ensures alignment with the Project Master Schedule and guarantees timely, accurate reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. The Site Planning Manager leads the planning team, coordinates with subcontractors, and plays a key role in strategic decision-making to ensure project success.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead the development and continuous optimization of the Construction Schedule in alignment with the overall Project Schedule.
  • Oversee the preparation of standard manhour estimates and ensure integration with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Validate and approve progress curves and manpower histograms based on estimated manhours.
  • Ensure subcontractor schedules are aligned with the Level 4 Construction Schedule and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor schedule performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
  • Provide strategic forecasts and risk assessments to support proactive decision-making.
  • Supervise the assessment of physical progress and manpower utilization, ensuring alignment with baseline plans.
  • Lead the preparation and review of weekly/monthly progress reports in accordance with project procedures.
  • Mentor and manage a team of planning engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in a specific discipline;
  • Similar role covered in projects that are of a comparable size;

Skills and Abilities

  • Fluent English.
  • Excellent IT and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
