Job summary/Role
description
|
- To
co-operate with the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) in the Project
Engineering Activities coordination, guaranteeing that the deadlines, as
well as the budget on the assigned activities are respected.
- In
accordance with her/his experience she/he can also co-ordinate a small
group of less experienced Project Engineers.
- In case
of less complex and smaller projects she/he can also take on the role
normally assigned to PEM.
- In
accordance with his seniority, she/he can take on the “senior” title.

Duties and
responsibilities
|
- To supervise specific multi-disciplinary
activities and critical engineering cycles attaining to the contract’s
budget, as well as to the project’s execution timing.
- To report to PEM concerning the status, planning
and crucial issues of the activities she/he has been assigned to.
- To support the PEM in the definition and
preparation of the co-ordination and engineering project execution
procedures.
- To ensure the multidisciplinary project documents
quality, in accordance with the contract requirements and respecting the
assigned budget and executing project deadlines.
- To support the PEM in the definition of the
project basic technical choices, identifying the best solutions, from a
technical, economical and temporal point of view, guaranteeing them.
Completeness and accuracy, on the basis of the technical specifications
and guidelines of the assigned project.
As a department member the PE
responsibilities are:
- To support the PEM and the Head of Department in
guaranteeing the continuous updating and application of the standards,
the procedures, and the operative instructions both of the Department
and of the Company.
- To
compare and exchange experiences with her/his colleagues (PE) among the
Group
Companies.
- To
promote the professional growth of other internal resources in his own
Department and also of other Departments, holding specific training
courses when required, in accordance with his own Department demand.
- To be up to date about the
developments and progressions of his own Department

Knowledge &
Qualifications
|
- Masters/bachelor’s in engineering is mandatory.
- Project Management Certifications will be an add
on to this position.
|
|
Experience
|
|
· At least 13 + years’ experience in a similar role
within oil & gas (EPC, EPIC) industry.
· Previous experience in
handling 3-4 similar job roles within the Middle East (preferably in Qatar)
is required.
· Having previous
approvals from local authorities in similar roles will be beneficial for this
job position. Applicants residing in Qatar will be given priority.
