Job summary/Role description
|
- Execute, manage, and
supervise planning/reporting activities within projects of any size and
complexity under the Project Control Manager’s supervision, ensuring
compliance with contract, quality requirements, and project execution
plans. Oversee the Planning team’s daily activities.
|
|
Duties and responsibilities
|
- Guide planning engineers in
initializing project control tools per company procedures.
- Lead the preparation of
planning procedures (WBS, schedules, progress measurement) in compliance
with contract and company standards.
- Prepare project control
planning documents (Milestones Plan, 90 days Schedule, WBS, Top-Down
Schedule, Project Control Schedule, Progress Curves, Reporting, Manpower
Histograms) under the Project Control Manager’s supervision.
- Review and issue planning
reports, ensuring consistency.
- Develop Schedule
Narrative/Basis of Assumptions, tracking deviations from Baseline.
- Perform periodic schedule
control, assess project physical progress, forecast completion, and
propose corrective actions.
- Monitor manhour expenditure
and productivity trends.
- Organize and conduct
meetings for review and decision-making on critical matters.
- Identify, analyze, and
monitor schedule deviations, recommending corrective actions.
- Guide subcontract team in
finalizing contractual schedules/milestones with subcontractors.
- Support Project Team in
performing Schedule Risk Analysis.
- Interact with Client’s
Planning representative and company departments, clients, and vendors to
gather necessary planning-related information.
- Analyze the impact of
potential changes/claims and support decision-making for path forward.
- Assist Contract Management
team in delay and schedule impact analysis.
- Maintain autonomous
knowledge of company tools (Primavera P6, Milemate! Schedule Risk
Analysis, Acumen Fuse, TPMS).
- Prepare field project
planning activities per company procedures and PCM’s instructions.
- Work closely with
Construction Subcontractors on developing Contract Level 3 & 4
Schedules and manpower histograms to ensure milestone compliance.
- Verify feasibility of
construction schedules with scheduled deliveries of documentation and
materials.
- Monitor Subcontractor
performance in terms of efficiency, progress, and resources.
- Coordinate with material
controller for construction feasibility and Material Control.
- Collect data at project
completion for database development and Project Close-out report.
- Train and support assigned
Planning/Reporting Junior Engineers.
- Stay updated on technical
improvements in the discipline.
- Provide feedback to the
Planning services leader on issues arising from standard methods to
improve efficiency
- Manage planning activities
independently for small size EPC projects.

Person Specification
|
|
Knowledge & Qualifications
|
- University Degree or
Diploma in Civil discipline or equivalent.
|
|
Experience
|
- Significant experience in the industrial
construction of large or xl gas plants.
- Covered a similar role in
at least 2-3 projects of comparable size.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
(essential).
- Experience working on the top tier Contractor
side (essential).
