Job summary/Role description

  • Commissioning Instrument Assistant executes the activities pertaining to his / her discipline in compliance with the quality requirements, health / environmental / safety regulations and following the stated procedures.
  • He / she reports to the Commissioning Instrument Supervisor.
  • He / she is assigned to the project by AVIMP Head of Department.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • To implement the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for instrument equipment.
  • Execute with the assigned crew from the subcontractor all the activities pertaining to the discipline.
  • Ensure effective utilization of commissioning manpower and consumables.
  • Prepare the forms for all the tests to be performed and ensure submission of the certificates duly signed by involved parties for final hand over to the certification engineer (QA / QC).
  • Carry out and verify instrument calibration.
  • Provide effective troubleshooting during loop test and logic test.
  • Ensure proper removal and reinstatement of instrument and control device during

commissioning activities.

  • Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a permit to work according to the project permit to work procedure.

  • Assistance to supervisor for expediting of pending punch list Items in accordance with commissioning manager (CMM) priorities.

  • Assistance to supervisor for coordination and supervision of construction support activities during the performance of the pre-commissioning, commissioning activities.

 

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electronics and Communications Engineering.

Experience

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction of large oil & gas plants / EPC projects.
