About the project/Role description

The project is planning the expansion of the existing Hamburg Refinery, by adding the following process units and facilities: HVO Unit, pre-treatment Unit, tank farm balance (tanks partially supplied by others), interconnecting lines, new electrical substation and rack room, interconnecting cables between new substation building and existing substation and control room.

The Construction Mechanical Supervisor (Machinery Supervisor) directs the subcontractor activities in his / her own discipline, ensuring that plant construction works are performed according to the erection schedules and project documents within the assigned cost budget, according to the quality & safety procedures as well as according to the terms and conditions of the subcontract.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Good understanding of P&ID and mechanical drawings, and understanding of battery limit of system and packages.
  • Capable to supervise/execute equipment’s alignment, bolt torquing.
  • Able to supervise and execute lube oil flushing and chemical cleaning activity.
  • Able to line up piping system and execute pumps & compressors start-up and mechanical run in.
  • Ability to Lead the field team of foreman and workers in the execution of the assigned daily task in an efficient manner.
  • Good in communication skills and in dealing with commissioning operators at the time of inspection
  • Familiar with inspection and test programs and the inspection forms.
  • Preparation of risk assessment and JHA.
  • Ready to be a conscient permit holder by understanding site HSE rules and LOTO system.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 year's work experience.
  • Significant experience in in a similar position on EPC Oil & Gas projects / refinery.
  • Knowledgeable of machinery equipment: pumps, compressors, and mechanical Seals, seal arrangement and piping plan.
  • Experienced in inspection of packages, vessels / columns, heat exchangers inspections.
  • Experienced in preparing large motor for solo run test.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, management skills.
  • Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.

Compensation

For this position, the starting gross annual salary, paid for monthly installments, will be no less than €65,000+benefit.

The overall compensation package will be governed by company policies and applicable agreements, including any  provisions related to benefits and variable components in compliance with the Group standards.
