Job
summary/Role description
|
|
Fiscal Affairs Specialist with 4–6 years of experience in UAE and
broader GCC tax regimes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
VAT, complemented by exposure to Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, and other
direct tax matters across the Middle East (UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, and Iraq).
Experience from a Big 4 firm and/or an in‑house tax function is strongly
preferred.
This role will support the Group’s tax operations across the
Middle East, ensuring full compliance with regional tax laws, internal
governance standards, and Group policies. The successful candidate will work
closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and tax authorities to
manage end‑to‑end tax processes and contribute to the Group’s fiscal
strategy.

Duties and responsibilities
|
- Reports directly to the Middle
East Group Head of Tax.
- Works as an integral
part of the local tax team and collaborates with the wider Group Fiscal
Affairs Department in Italy.
- Engages with
finance, legal, compliance, and business units across multiple
jurisdictions.
- Coordinates with
external tax advisors, auditors, and government authorities when
required.
- Support in managing
the overall tax affairs of the Group across the Middle East region.
- Handle the end‑to‑end
tax compliance cycle, including preparation, review, and timely filing
of VAT, Corporate Tax, and other statutory returns.
- Assist in
maintaining and enhancing tax governance frameworks, ensuring adherence
to Group policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support tax audits,
disputes, and litigation processes, including preparation of
documentation and coordination with external advisors.
- Monitor tax law
changes across the relevant jurisdictions and assess their impact on the
Group.
- Support Transfer
Pricing compliance, documentation, and intercompany policy alignment.
- Collaborate with
business units to provide tax technical guidance on transactions,
contracts, and new initiatives.
- Maintain accurate
tax records, reconciliations, and reporting for internal and external
stakeholders.
- Contribute to
continuous improvement of tax processes, systems, and automation
initiatives.

Person Specification
|
|
Knowledge
& Qualifications
|
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or related
field;
professional certifications (CTA, ACCA, CPA) are an advantage.
|
|
Experience
|
- 4–6 years of tax experience,
preferably in UAE, KSA, Qatar, (Oman, and Iraq experiences are a strong
plus).
- Solid technical knowledge of VAT,
with exposure to Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing.
- Experience from a Big 4 firm or a
reputable in‑house tax department.
- Strong understanding of GCC tax
frameworks, compliance requirements, and regulatory environments.
- Ability to manage multiple
deadlines and deliver high‑quality work under time pressure.
- Excellent analytical,
communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Strong command of English; Arabic
is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP system is an
advantage but not mandatory.
