Job summary/Role description

The HVAC Professional provides technical support to the Construction and Commissioning teams on site, coordinating and overseeing the planning, execution, documentation, testing, and handover of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with the approved HVAC design, project requirements, approved procedures, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support detailed procedure review, daily planning, and prioritization of HVAC construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Verify that HVAC site activities are carried out in accordance with the approved HVAC design, approved procedures, project schedule, quality requirements, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Coordinate with HVAC Mechanical Supervisors, E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) Supervisors, Automation and Control Supervisors, vendors, subcontractors, and the Owner’s Commissioning Team.
  • Support the Site Team:
    1. during the construction phase: in completion activities, punch list management, Mechanical Completion readiness, and system energization;

    2. during the commissioning phase: in the execution of functional tests, air and water balancing (TAB), verification of control logics implemented in automation panels, equipment operational test runs, seasonal testing, personnel training, plant start-up, and operation and maintenance support.

  • Assist in managing vendor specialists and subcontractor teams, ensuring effective field execution of HVAC activities and the proper preparation and handover of final documentation.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

  • Significant experience in the industrial construction of large or XL gas plants.

  • Covered a similar role in at least 2-3 projects of comparable size.

  • A minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience.
