  • Coordinate shipment execution with freight forwarders, local freight forwarders, customs brokers, port operators, warehouses, transport subcontractors and construction/site representatives.

  • Ensure that transportation planning is aligned with construction priorities, site readiness, unloading constraints, storage capacity and project schedule.

  • Monitor cargo flow from arrival in Argentina to final delivery, ensuring that each shipment is tracked, reported and closed with proper documentation.

  • Proactively identify potential bottlenecks related to port congestion, customs clearance, permits, road restrictions, site access limitations, lifting constraints, storage availability, local authority approvals or subcontractor performance.

  1. OSHL / Heavy Lift Coordination

  • Act as local focal point for OSHL cargo delivery and final-mile execution in Argentina.

  • Coordinate with LOGIS Engineering, LSPs, heavy transport subcontractors, route survey providers, lifting companies, port authorities and construction team for safe and feasible OSHL movement.

  • Review and monitor the implementation of route surveys, method statements, transportation drawings, lifting/lashing requirements, axle configuration, permits, escorts and police/local authority coordination, where applicable.

  • Ensure that OSHL transport execution is planned with sufficient contingency and recovery options.

  • Verify that all parties understand cargo dimensions, weights, center of gravity, lifting points, site access limitations and delivery sequence.

  • Support site and construction teams in defining delivery priorities, unloading windows and interface requirements for critical equipment.

  • Ensure lessons learned and best practices from international OSHL projects are applied to Argentina execution.

  1. Freight Forwarder, Customs Broker & Local Authority Management

  • Manage and monitor the performance of freight forwarding companies, customs brokers, local logistics subcontractors and local transport partners.

  • Ensure strong control over customs broker activities, including HS code support, import documentation, customs declarations, duty/tax/fee tracking, permits and regulatory requirements.

  • Escalate promptly any issue that may affect project schedule, cost, compliance or relation with client/local authorities.

  • Maintain a firm but professional approach toward freight forwarders, customs brokers and local service providers, ensuring accountability for delays, poor coordination, wrong information or unjustified extra costs.

  • Construction & Site Interface

  • Maintain continuous coordination with Construction/Site Management regarding delivery priorities, planned arrivals, site access, unloading capacity, storage constraints, equipment readiness and potential damages.

  • Ensure timely pre-alert to site for incoming cargo, including ETA, cargo description, transport configuration, unloading requirements, documentation status and potential criticalities.

  • Participate in weekly meetings with LSPs, customs broker, project team and construction/site representatives.

  • Prepare and follow up action lists, pending points, risks, delays and mitigation measures.

  • Ensure that delivery execution is aligned with construction needs, not only with shipping schedules.

  • Support construction team in managing local delivery windows, access restrictions, heavy lifting interfaces, storage priorities and material availability for planned activities.

  • Preventive Problem Solving & Risk Mitigation

  • Act with a preventive approach, identifying risks before they become operational delays, cost claims or contractual disputes.

  • Prepare alternative plans when required, including alternative routes, delivery sequences, storage solutions, additional resources, revised customs approach or revised execution method.

  • Ensure that problems are not only reported, but analyzed with root cause, impact, proposed solution, owner and deadline.

  • Support de-risking actions for critical logistics scenarios, including geopolitical, customs, port, route, contractor, capacity, weather, permit or infrastructure-related risks.

  • Challenge and validate extra-cost claims from LSPs, customs brokers and local subcontractors.

  • Support Project Management in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety, compliance or schedule.

  • Optimize delivery planning to reduce waiting time, unnecessary storage, repeated handling, inefficient truck utilization and poor sequencing.

  • Maintain cost exposure visibility through regular reporting and early warning on potential deviations.

  • Support contractual and commercial discussions with LSPs by providing facts, evidence, timeline, root cause and recommendation.

  • Reporting to Management

  • Prepare regular logistics status reports for Project Management, TCM LOGIS and relevant stakeholders.

  • Report cargo status, customs status, port/storage/site delivery status, critical issues, risks, mitigation actions, cost impact and pending decisions.

  • Maintain trackers and dashboards for shipment progress, OSHL activities, customs clearance, delivery to site, open issues, extra costs and LSP performance.

  • Ensure information is accurate, timely, traceable and suitable for management decision-making.

  • Escalate issues with clear recommendation, proposed solution and required decision.

  • Provide management with concise executive summaries on critical shipments, local constraints, exposure and recovery actions.

  • Systems, Data Quality & Digital Tools

  • Ensure proper use and timely update of Tecnimont logistics tools, including TMS and any applicable shipment/reporting platforms.

  • Promote digital adoption by local partners and freight forwarders where required.

  • Ensure that logistics data can be used for reporting, KPI monitoring, cost control, audit readiness and project governance.

  • Maintain accurate evidence in SharePoint or other project repositories for traceability, claims, audit and management review.

  • Claims, Damaged Cargo & Insurance Interface

  • Coordinate the first operational response in case of damaged cargo, shortage, loss, delivery discrepancy or transport incident.

  • Ensure immediate collection of photos, OSD/POD/GRN, packing list, transport documents, incident report, correspondence and other evidence.
