Job summary/Role description

He executes the activities relevant to functional loop checks and to the interlock/sequence’s functionality checks in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.

Duties and responsibilities
  • To develop the detailed commissioning procedures for Machinery & Packages and procedures for the functional tests of the machinery.
  • To check and prepare relevant Commissioning punch list.
  • To supervise closing of pending Punch List Items.
  • To monitor and ensure that activities are carried out following the procedures and requirements.
  • To supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
  • To support the Vendors’ specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the Commissioning supervisors.
  • To keep records of all activities performed in the logbook.
  • To produce the certificates, duly signed by the parties involved, and handover to certification engineer (QA/QC).

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications
  • University Degree / Equivalent Diploma in Engineering

Experience
  • Relevant experience in construction/modernization of oil & gas /industrial sector/ EPC projects large refinery plants.
  • Similar role covered at least in last three projects of comparable size.
  •  Min (8) years relevant field experience.
  • Experience working on the Contractor side.
  • Extensive experience in Commissioning for Rotating Equipment
