About the project / Job summary

The scope of the project entails the implementation of three gas boosting stations, including turbo-compressors that will compress about 188 million standard cubic meters per day of natural gas. Additionally, the project entails the upgrading of the existing gas gathering system, which includes more than 300 km of flowlines connecting the wells. Completion of the project is scheduled within 39 months from the contract’s effective date.

SPL reports to the Site Control Manager.

SPL ensures Construction planning by controlling deviations and prepares the reports.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop the Construction Schedule within the period established in the Project Schedule;
  • Prepare the standard man-hour estimates based on the design quantities and the established WBS;
  • Feed Schedule with estimated standard Manhours to obtain the Progress Curves and Manpower Histograms;
  • Ensure that the schedules developed by the Subcontractors, as per their contractual obligations, are in alignment with the Level 4 Construction Schedule;
  • Perform schedule control at the cut-off dates and provide a forecast on completion dates especially if any adverse trends occur so that the recovery plan can be effectively enforced;

In home office, his / her main responsibilities are:

Job summary/Role description

  • Report functionally to the Project Manager and hierarchically to the Construction Department Manager.

  • Represent the Company towards Client and Subcontractor at Site and, whenever necessary, local Authorities.

  • Manages all site activities and ensures the Responsible of the Project for construction and site management, in compliance with HSE, time schedules, costs and quality, managing the allocated resources in agreement with the respective Departments.

Activities and main responsibilities

  • Oversee the performances of the personnel and of the site activities, in particular in terms of HSE performance, quality, duration and costs of construction.

  • Ensures Project’s responsibilities for construction and site management, in compliance with HSE, time schedules, costs and quality, managing the allocated resources in agreement with the respective Departments guaranteeing the full implementation of all the Legal Requirements.

  • Ensure the implementation at site of the Group HSE policy, HSE management system and related performance objectives and targets.

  • Manage the contract with Client according to the Project Manager’s guidelines.

  • Manage site subcontracts through site management personnel.

  • Organize and develop procurement activities for materials that has to be purchased locally;

  • Guarantee continuity between the completion of Construction and pre-commissioning to optimize Project schedule timing;

  • Establish and check reporting for Head Office and, according to the Project Manager’s directives, to Client;

  • Organize any valuable action to prevent interruptions to erection activities, to reduce delays in work schedule, and bring costs back to budget levels.

  • Report to the Site Manager

  • The Construction manager coordinates all Discipline Supervisors in managing Subcontractor’s activities. In particular, she/he updates and develops detailed Construction schedules, optimizing sequences and limiting any overlapping. She/he replaces the Site Manager in the latter’s absence.

Activities and main responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation of the HSE management system at site with particular reference to their area of operation.

  • Organize and lead, along with the relevant AST and Superintendent/Supervisors, weekly meetings with the Subcontractors of each discipline.

  • Participate to construction meeting with the Client.

  • With the collaboration of the Site Control Manager, prepare a detailed schedule and define priorities and promote field revisions considering the Construction Schedule and promoting recovery plans in case of delay;

Job summary/Role description

The project is planning the expansion of the existing Hamburg Refinery, by adding the following process units and facilities: HVO Unit, pre-treatment Unit, tank farm balance (tanks partially supplied by others), interconnecting lines, new electrical substation and rack room, interconnecting cables between new substation building and existing substation and control room.

 

HSE Engineer- Permit to Work Permit Coordinator verifies and ensures that all Field activities are performed according to the HSE Policy, the regulations, standards and procedures, promoting all preventive and corrective action as required

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure that the “Permit to Work (PTW) Procedure” is followed, permits are distributed, opened and closed according to procedural requirements, ensuring that permits are correctly completed by the Issuing Authority and the Performing Authority, and finally archived.
  • The WPC will be holder of the PTW Register. All Permits shall be registered daily before allowed their validity.
  • When a PTW is closed or suspended the WPC must update the PTW Register accordingly.
  • To perform the Job Hazardous Analysis (JHA) and participate to the Job Safety Analysis (JSA). 
  • Verify the adequacy and application of the Site HSE Plan and all related procedures, to the preparing any revisions.
  • To update the HSE documentation during all the construction phases when deemed necessary. 
  • To check that Subcontractors, perform their activities in accordance with all the HSE applicable procedures, regulation and standards, promoting all necessary action to ensure that the said procedures and regulations are observed.
  • To organize, plan and participate to periodical HSE walk around, Inspections and Audits on site, prepare all the relevant reports, action plans, verify the follow up and the timely execution of the corrective action.
  • To organize, coordinate and directly participate in the HSE Training activities on site. 
  • To organize and participate to all relevant site HSE Meetings, prepare the relevant MOM.
  • To co-operate with the Client concerning the issue of any necessary work permits.
  • To organize in case of work accidents a full investigation of the event, finalized to the identification of corrective measure to avoid reoccurrence.
